At Honeybourne Pottery, we are committed to making our workshops welcoming and accessible for guests of all abilities. Our studio is a calm, friendly learning environment, and we do our best to adapt sessions where possible so that guests feel comfortable, supported, and able to develop their pottery skills. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss any individual needs ahead of your visit.

Pottery is a naturally inclusive, hands-on craft that encourages focus, creativity, problem-solving and self-expression. Our beginner-friendly workshops are designed to support guests of all abilities, with guidance from our tutors to help everyone learn new techniques and build confidence.

We offer a range of pottery classes, from wheel-throwing and clay modelling to tailored group workshops, which can be adapted where possible to suit individual access requirements or group needs. We warmly welcome disability organisations, community groups, and support services, and offer discounted group rates to help make pottery more accessible.

Please note: Workshop age suitability varies. Our Potter’s Wheel Taster Workshop is suitable for ages 7+, while our other workshops are generally suitable for ages 16+. Please see individual workshop pages for full details.

Studio Accessibility Features

Our North Cotswolds pottery studio includes the following accessibility features:

• Step-free access via a portable ramp at the main entrance and level access throughout the majority of areas.

• Height-adjustable pottery wheels suitable for wheelchair users

• Complimentary entry for carers and support workers

• BSL-supported sessions (available with advance notice)

• Service animals welcome (water bowl provided)

• Adjustable lighting available on request
  

Important Note - Due to constraints of our old building, our restroom cannot be adapted for wheelchair users. We apologise and can suggest nearby alternatives where possible.
